Way Out West is over for this year. Monthly looks back on two fantastic days with great acts, good food and, in the end, nice weather. Way Out West was a festival deluxe. The comfort of being in a city with easy access to showers and a warm bed really framed the vibe at the festival. Visitors were not only fresh and clean but they were also exceptionally fashion conscious. Gone were the dirty tank tops and muddy rubber boots. No, we're talking straightened hair, red lipsticks, baby doll dresses and high heels. Or suits, Ray Ban sunglasses and one week old sneakers from Karltex. Monthly stopped a few colourful visitors in the crowd for a small chat.

Johanna What's your favourite act on the festival? ”I'm working in a beer tent most of the time, so I don't get to see that much, but today I*m looking forward to Kelis, N*E*R*D, Booka Shade abd Lil' Kim.

Johan What's your favourite act on the festival? Broder Daniel was great, but also a bit sad, I almost cried. Today, I'll watch some hip hop artists and the Flaming Lips.

Anja What's your favourite act on the festival? I'm looking forward to Håkan. Broder Daniel were amazing yesterday, I cried all the time. It was my first and last time.

Kristian and Magnus Suits on a festival? Because it looks good! The idea has a history, we came up with that 10 years ago, we're always doing it. But it's 100% polyester, we're really warm in here! What's your favourite act on the festival? Silverbullit, Håkan, Flaming Lips, the old men basically.

Ilektra What's your favourite act on the festival? I saw Sigur Rós for the first time, they were amazing. And today, we'll definitely watch Neil Young, you just have to!

Christopher and Lina What's your favourite act on the festival? We're looking forward to Håkan! We're fine as long as it's not raining..

Anna What happened to your shoes??? They're my favourite shoes, and I'll wear them until they fall apart.. I fixed them with Gaffer tape. What's your favourite act on the festival? I'll watch Lykke Li, Kelis, N*E*R*D and Silverbullit.

Robert What's your favourite act on the festival? Neil Young! And I'll go to Hederos/Hellberg in Annedalskyrkan, it's going to be an excellent gig!

Johanna and Sean What's your favourite act on the festival? The Flaming Lips and Neil Young. He's The Man.

Kent Why are you a VIP? Why not???! What's your favourite act on the festival? Joan as Police Woman, Silverbullit and Fleet Foxes.
